Autism

Resources for your child with autism

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by difficulty communicating and interacting with others. Every individual with autism is unique, with their own strengths and challenges, so finding the right treatment can be challenging.

Early detection and finding the right medical, behavioral, educational, and support services can improve the functioning and long-term outlook of children with autism. The links below can help children on any point on the autism spectrum.

Your health plan coverage

Self-funded health benefit plans are regulated by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and other federal laws. They are not subject to state autism insurance laws. Benefit design is at the discretion of the Fund. To find out if your medical plan includes coverage for autism, contact your Fund Administrator.

Find a Developmental Pediatrician
